Nate “Snake the Nate” Ray is an experienced MMA fighter with more than 12 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience. A lifelong athlete, Nate began his martial arts journey at 19 after discovering Jiu-Jitsu and quickly developed a passion for the sport.
After years of Jiu-Jitsu competition and training alongside experienced MMA athletes, Nate transitioned his focus to MMA, joining Victory MMA and committing himself fully to the sport. His grappling foundation, competitive experience, and relentless work ethic have shaped his approach inside the cage.
For Nate, martial arts represents more than competition—it became a source of purpose and direction through some of the most difficult periods of his life. Today, he continues to pursue his passion for fighting while honoring the values of dedication, perseverance, and living a life driven by purpose.
Snake the Nate returned to the EPIC Fighting cage on August 21st as the EPIC 66 Main Event, facing one of the toughest challenges of his MMA career.
